Attleboro (zip code 02703) provides convenient access to both Boston and Providence and a charming New England lifestyle—ideal for travel nurse jobs in Massachusetts and perinatal nursing careers. /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Attleboro, MA 02703 (close to Boston, MA & Providence, RI)/n - Assignment Type: Travel Nurse – 14-week contract/n - Unit: Labor & Delivery (15 beds, inpatient rooming with infants)/n - Shift: Nights — 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00); 36 hours per week/n - Duration: 14 weeks/n - Start Date: March 23, 2026/n - Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required/n - Patient Population: Neonates and adults (perinatal, intrapartum, postpartum)/n - Vaccine Requirements: COVID-19 and flu vaccinations per facility policy/n /n/nQualifications & Requirements/n /n - Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (perinatal/obstetric nursing)/n - Active Massachusetts RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)/n - Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)/n - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and AWHONN Beginner certifications (required)/n - AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certifications (preferred)/n - Travel nursing experience required; prior travel L&D RN assignments preferred/n - Cerner EMR experience preferred, but not required/n - Compliance with facility vaccination policy (COVID-19 required; flu medical exemptions allowed)/n /n/nKey Responsibilities/n /n - Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 15-bed L&D unit/n - Perform antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum assessments and interventions/n - Monitor fetal heart rate tracings using EFM and IUPC; recognize and manage abnormal patterns/n - Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and immediate newborn care/n - Administer medications and therapies including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives, and pain management/n - Support breastfeeding and provide lactation education and newborn care teaching/n - Educate and support families on newborn care, discharge teaching, and baby-friendly protocols/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, physical therapy, and social services/n - Utilize OMNICELL medication system and SBAR communication; maintain accurate documentation/n - Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and facility protocols/n /n/nWhy This Travel Nursing Job?/n /n - Work in a modern, family-centered Labor & Delivery unit with infant rooming-in/n - Excellent location near Boston and Providence — great for Massachusetts travel nurse opportunities/n - Enhance perinatal and neonatal nursing skills in a supportive clinical environment/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2000-$2100/week (competitive travel nurse pay and benefits; varies by agency)/n /n/n Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Attleboro, MA.
