Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Salem,
Massachusetts, 01970! Job Title: RN Labor & Delivery, Postpartum,
Newborn Profession: RN L/D, PP, NBN Specialty: RN L/D, PP, NBN
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours
Experience: Minimum 3 years required License: Current RN License
Certifications: BLS, NRP, EFM (every 2 years for L&D)
Must-Have: ACLS preferred Description: Labor and Delivery and
Postpartum RN position available for night shifts. The role
includes 1 night of call and every other weekend. The unit is a
25-bed Labor & Delivery unit, encompassing Labor & Delivery,
Postpartum, and Newborn care. The minimum required experience for
this position is 3 years. Required skill sets include Labor &
Delivery, Postpartum, Circulate, and Newborn Care. The clinician to
patient ratio for Labor & Delivery is 1:2-3 for evaluations and 1:1
for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural. For Postpartum care,
the ratio is 1:3-4. The unit includes 5 Labor & Delivery rooms, 12
Postpartum rooms, 2 Operating Rooms, 2 Recovery Rooms, and 2
Antepartum Units with 4 beds. The average daily census is 15-25
mothers, babies, and labors. The electronic medical record (EHR)
charting system is EPIC. Floating between units is not required.
Rotating shifts will be necessary, as the position will primarily
be nights but may require rotation to days or evenings.
Certifications required include a current state RN license, BLS,
