Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Training Engineer Manager 1,
will be responsible for producing learning content as it relates to
MathWorks products, including video tutorials, problem sets, interactive exploration tools, and
supplemental materials; working primarily with course instructors
to supplement course content; gathering requirements, producing online learning modules, and integrating
learning content with course sites; writing engaging lessons on
MathWorks products in video tutorial format; designing skill tests to assess student mastery of
concepts; creating storyboard lessons for graphical video
production; working with university professors on curriculum content; and partnering with software developers and
content specialists to integrate content into online course
environments. Education and Experience: Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, Aeronautics & Astronautics,
Mathematical Science or Physics and two (2) years of experience in job offered or two (2) years of experience
developing e-learning instructional content for simulation-driven
design software applications. OR Ph.D. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering,
Computer Science, Aeronautics & Astronautics, Mathematical Science
or Physics and no experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, Aeronautics & Astronautics,
Mathematical Science or Physics and six (6) years of experience in job offered or six (6) years of experience
developing e-learning instructional content for simulation-driven
design software applications. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise designing and developing e-learning
instructional content, including self-paced, interactive online
courses for engineers and engineering students according to instructional design
methodologies -- ADDIE or Bloom’s Taxonomy. • Demonstrated expertise writing and editing instructional
content for e-learning engineering tutorials, including developing
e-learning content using Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, or Adobe Captivate. • Demonstrated expertise setting up, configuring, and
maintaining learning management systems -- Moodle or Open edX. [Experience and/or expertise may be gained during Doctoral
