Job Description Job Description Estimator - Civil Estimator - Heavy Civil Position Overview We are seeking a Civil Estimator with 5 years of heavy civil experience. Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects - Conduct takeoffs from project plans and specifications - Utilize estimating software such as HCSS to generate accurate estimates - Analyze geotechnical reports and assess resource availability - Develop project schedules and proposals in collaboration with project managers - Stay informed about industry trends and winter conditions that may impact project costs - Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing - Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors to ensure competitiveness Required Qualifications - 5 years civil estimating experience - HCSS HeavyBid experience - Agtek/Procore (or similar) - Ability to perform a quantity takeoff Preferred Qualifications - 3D-modeling experience a plus - Familiarity working in winter conditions a plus - Strong safety background - Utility experience Benefits - Company vehicle - Medical / dental / vision insurance - Insurance (Life, short & long term) - Safety equipment allowance training - PTO - 401k - Bonus opportunity - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
