Job Description:

Perform general maintenance of our properties, including--carpentry, flooring, electrical, plumbing patching, painting, appliance repair, grounds work, snow removal, unit inspections, construction monitoring, room setups for events, and sheetrock repair.----Essential Job FunctionsExecute preventive maintenance and routine engineering checks in all mechanical and boiler rooms; maintains logs, work orders, and other required documentation, including but not limited to RealPage Facilities softwarePrepare vacant apartments for new residents and refreshes apartment units as neededPerform unit inspections to ensure building/unit integrity, safety, and compliance to inspection mandatesCarry out routine engineering checks in all mechanical and boiler rooms--Document time in/time out or other tracking system functions on all work ordersPerform grounds maintenance duties, such as mowing, weeding, snow and ice removalMust be available to respond when assigned to evening, weekend, and holiday emergency coverage for emergency mechanical/technical services.(Rotating responsibility with other team members)SKILLS & ABILITIESTwo years of hands-on experience with post-secondary technical training preferredKnowledge of building trades, mechanics, and building maintenanceHoisting License preferredFluent in English --Skilled in the use of mobile devices, computers, and computerized systemsValid Massachusetts driver's license required,--Must be able to operate hand and power tools safely--WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDSFrequent standing and walkingAbility to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to operate a BobcatAbility to work outdoors in winter conditions----2LIFE COMMUNITIES--provides superior housing to older adults of all backgrounds who can thrive independently within a supportive environment.
