Curriculum Specialist, Grades 6-12 (2024-2025 Opportunity)Location:
Boston, MA Start date: July, 2024 OVERVIEW OF ROLE: Match is
seeking a Science and Technology/Engineering (STE) Curriculum
Specialist for grades 6-12 who can join our team for the 2023-2024
school year and beyond. The STE Curriculum Specialist will improve
STE growth and achievement in 6th-12th grade at Match by serving as
a curriculum resource and as a leader. The person in this role will
provide communication, resources, technical assistance and
professional development to school leaders and teachers around STE
curriculum and assessment. The STE Curriculum Specialist will
support instructional leaders in tracking and analyzing important
science assessment data to drive instruction and plan
interventions. The position is based at Match's Middle School (215
Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain) and High School (1001
Commonweath Ave. in Brighton). The STE Curriculum Specialist will
report directly to the Managing Director of Grades 6-12. The
compensation for this position starts at $95,172 and can be higher
based on prior experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: STE Curriculum
Implementation:Assess current STE instructional methodology and
audit existing curriculum and curriculum implementation. Utilize
Open SciEd resources to ensure full implementation of available
modules at all applicable grade levels.Provide direct instructional
coaching and feedback to teachers and school leaders as
needed.Collaborate with instructional leaders and teachers to
support curriculum implementation;In conjunction with school
leaders, plan and deliver professional development on STE
curriculum and instructional strategies;Codify instructional
methods and work to ensure vertical alignment. Science Assessment
and Interventions:Coordinate STE assessment windows, logistics and
communication;Monitor and track STE MCAS and AP performance growth
and all other relevant achievement data;Coordinate with the
leadership team to ensure that teachers have the time and tools
required to analyze STE data and create action plans, and serve as
a resource during analysis and action planning; support
instructional leaders in providing feedback to teachers on their
action plans;Identify and communicate STE assessment data trends to
instructional leaders and collaborate with them to create
instructional initiatives and grade-level specific professional
development;Identify students of concern and collaborate with
instructional leaders and teachers to make intervention
plans.Network-Wide Responsibilities: Consult on STE curriculum
alignment with Match's elementary school (Match Community
Day).Collaborate with other Match Curriculum Specialists and Deans
of Curriculum and Instruction to ensure program coherence and
vertical alignment. QUALIFICATIONS:Research has shown that people

Science, Science intervention, and/or teacher coaching;A valid and
appropriate Science teaching licensure issued by the Massachusetts
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, strongly
preferred;Detail oriented and highly organized with strong
analytical skills.Strong knowledge of intervention
strategies;Entrepreneurial approach to initiatives and problem
solving; and Dedication to urgently improving student growth and
