Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing, developing and testing
sophisticated software; designing, architecting, and developing
MATLAB enterprise deployment services and infrastructure for public
clouds -- Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure -- and private
clouds using cloud native technologies; participating in the full
software development life cycle from requirements gathering and
high-level design, to coding, testing, debugging, performance
improvement, and maintenance; collaborating in an Agile environment
with a highly cross-functional team; producing high-quality code
that is correct, robust, efficient, and easy to maintain and
extend; and participating in, and contributing to, design reviews,
code reviews, and project planning. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and no experience. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in
job offered or five (5) years of experience in cloud-based web
development. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in object oriented programming and design
in C++, MATLAB, Python, and Java; and architecting code using
design patterns. Demonstrated expertise building distributed web services using
cloud based platforms -- Amazon Web Services and private clouds;
performing containerization using Docker; and applying cloud
computing concepts to develop massively scalable and parallel
systems. Demonstrated expertise developing RESTful web services within a
distributed computing system environment using Python. Demonstrated expertise performing version control and continuous
integration, including analysis and implementation of branching
