Creative Financial Staffing is working with a communications company to identify a Controller to join their team. Why the Controller opportunity? One of New England's largest and longest continually operating communications firms Hybrid position based in a dynamic, creative, and collaborative work environment Newly open role driving strategic financial direction and operational excellence Opportunity to work with a passionate and experienced leadership team Comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with employer contribution, healthcare, generous PTO, and annual bonus The Controller's responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management Manage payroll processes and compliance across 20 states, preferably with ADP experience Administer 401(k) plans including audits and bi-monthly contributions; serve on key internal committees Coordinate with external CPAs for tax returns, financial statements, and tax planning Lead month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries and reconciliations Maintain GAAP compliance and oversee all regulatory and tax filings Monitor fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and disposals Mentor and lead a team of three accounting professionals Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred Proven experience in a Controller or financial leadership role; agency experience highly preferred Strong GAAP knowledge and experience in digital/hybrid work environments Proficiency in MS 365 and Google Suite; ADP and Advantage Software experience a plus Excellent communication and analytical skills Ability to provide financial insight and support to executive leadership INMAY2025 ZRCFS LI-MP3
