Job Description:

Duties: Develops, enhances, and maintains Oracle database applications,

according to Agile methodologies. Designs, develops, and modifies software

systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and

measure outcomes and consequences of designs. Designs batch cycles by

integrating database and UNIX components. Analyzes data on required

reporting formats, costs, and security needs to determine hardware

configuration. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for

divisional initiatives into business solutions. Analyzes and recommends

changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and

strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participates in architecture design teams.

• Defines and implements application level architecture.

• Develops applications on complex projects, components, and

subsystems for the division.

• Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews

and validates test plans.

• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or

subsystems.

• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects

across multiple platforms.

• Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.

• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for

projects.

• Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for

multiple projects.

• Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various

project/technology issues.

• Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical

evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.

• Advises senior management on technical strategy.

• Mentors junior team members.

• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis

for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going

development efforts.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Computer Applications, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and

five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of

experience building financial data warehouse applications with data

modeling and ETL processing; Or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or

foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information

Technology, Information Systems, Computer Applications, Mathematics,

Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in

the job offered or three (3) years of experience building financial data

warehouse applications with data modeling and ETL processing. Candidate

must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing

data warehouse framework code using IBM Netezza SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and

UNIX shell scripts; leveraging SQL-based allocation methodologies for

Activity-based costing; and optimizing the load and performance of large

datasets in batch processing; DE extracting data from multiple online

internal trading applications and loading data into warehouse environment,

using External Tables, Fast Readers, SQL/NZ Loaders, ETL processing,

Informatica, Golden Gate replications, and Control-M; DE designing,

implementing, and supporting complex infrastructure platforms for both

production and non-production environments; and supporting DevOps

implementation using gitStash, Jenkins, Jira, and uDeploy tools; DE

developing business intelligence solutions for reporting and data

warehousing in a cost and profitability system development environment

using Oracle OBIEE tool.
